New Zealand Part 4

After leaving Milford Sound, Cat and I wanted to drive to Franz Joseph which is a glacier with great hiking. One small problem, the 7+ hr drive. Here are some pictures from that drive.

Whoa, gotta slow down for the traffic.

Stopped in Wanaka for a nice little lunch. An amazing little town.

New meaning to double scoop ice cream.

Cat loves the waterfalls :)

Just a little bit windy.

Nice little cove.

New Zealand Part 3

On the 3rd day Cat and I headed down to Milford Sound. Ironically Milford Sound is actually a fiord, which is a deep valley cut out by a glacier. The drive down to Milford takes about 2 hrs and is probably the best drive I have ever done. The drive consists of high peaks with flowing waterfalls everywhere.

1 sheep, 2 sheep , 3 sheep ...... ummm lost count.

2,500 feet straight up o_O

This bird was so aggressive and kept eating my rental car.

Cat and I stayed the night in this hostel down in the middle of the fiord. This is the only place within a 2 hr drive. Good thing we filled up on gas and food before coming.

We took a cruise out into the fiord and they stick the boat right into a water fall.

The next day all the clouds blew, leaving a great view before we head out for our 7 hr drive to Franz Joseph.

Cloudy Update

Cloud is fine but it is summer now and she is shedding so much hair. It looks really good on our brown couch :(

You talking to me?

She sleeps a lot and has way to many toys. Especially this new monkey that screams, joy.

She just can't be bothered.

New Zealand Part 2

Day 2 in NZ was a pretty adventurous day to say the least. The day started off with a 450ft bungy jump at 8am. Followed by a rope swing that you have to see to believe, jet boating and white water rafting. Not bad for a days work.

"The Pod" 450 feet of bungy jumping fun!!!!!!!!!

Cat says her goodbyes :(

Umm yea?

No pressure.

Jet boating looks fun.

Pretty!

New Zealand Part 1

Hey everyone sorry for the long delay between updates. Cat and I had a pretty busy December with work and getting ready for our trip to New Zealand and California.

We flew into Queenstown in the south island of New Zealand. The mountains in the back are the misty mountains of Mordor from the Lord of the Rings movie.

I don't think ill be buying an F-150 any time soon :(

Cat and I stopped for lunch at Fergburger. A great place to grab a quick snack. I think Cat is trying to bite off more then she can chew.

After lunch we took a tram up the mountain at the base of Queenstown. There were some amazing views but more importantly there was a go-cart track at the top that you could race down in gravity driven go-carts. By the end Cat was going pretty fast down the hills. I got the cart going so fast that I caught air on the steep hills and got on two wheels a few times.

Time to race!!!!

I could do this track all day long.

After racing the go-carts, we decided to hike back down the mountain and get some rest for a crazy day 2.

Cat contemplating life's questions.

Stay tuned for day 2 which you will not want to miss.
